Turbo help please

OK Guys,

Im looking at upgrading my VI TME to an Evo 9 Series 80 turbo... this is purely for reliability and i will not be excessively upping the boost.

below are a couple of pics of a turbo i have been offered... other than the actuator what other bits will i need to make it fit my VI? the only other pipe i think it needs is the oil return pipe as it doesnt appear to come with one and i dont think my VI will fit.... how much should i be looking to pay for a secondhand oil return to sump pipe?

also will i be able to use an earlier actuator say off an evo VII for example?

Should all fit straight on mate. If not then just use pipes etc off your own turbo.
Are you still using the factory rubber intake pipe ?? If so then youll find a reducer just inside the end that fits over the front the turbo. You'll need to wip it out as the intake on the IX turbo is slightly bigger

Ive been told the pipes off my VI turbo wont fit :-(

hey... maybe its that bloody reducer that got sucked through my turbo and destroyed the blades!!!!

We used the pipes off my mates 5 turbo and fitted them to a 9 turbo to fit the turbo to his Evo 5

Ooh maybe lol just a black rubber ring about an inch wide 4mm thick ??

i will post a pic in a minute of the debris i found as that really does sound like it!!!

have tried to find an immage but no such luck. but you get the idea where it goes yea ??

yes mate absolutely.... im so glad u mentioned it because i just couldnt work out where the rubber had come from as all my hoses were intact!!

When they fitted my nine turbo to my 8 the j pipe is smaller on the 9
