turbo help !! fq300 evo 8

hi fellow evo lover iv had my evo 4 months now and love her to bits and im booked in at atp norwich for a remap, i have been checking my car over to make sure everything is ok. one thing i did was took my intake pipe off to check turbo and my shalf has got around a 1mm of play up and down and in and out does this need to be rebuilt befor the remap/rolling road. car is a 2003 evo 8 fq300
also on ebay are a few turbos for sale mine is a 49378 01520. do i need that one or can i get another. would the 10.5 be better than my 9.8

That is minimal play, but like Craig said the 10.5 housing of the mr and 9 turbo is more beneficial..

Buying second hand an be hit and miss when it comes to turbos, have been lucky and seriously unlucky in the past.
