Can you remove the rear snap hook part to make it work with a harness bar? As i wont need it to bolt into anything.

Yep - that's what we have done. It just undoes by threading the harness back through the locking clasp and out of the snap hook.

I would put advise this buddy they aren't designed to take that force in a shunt more to direct force into an appropriate area

The bar

It's designed to direct the harnesses to the proper angle going through the seat.

Could all be forum talk, but when I got mine i did plenty of research and ended up mounting mine in the original rear seatbelt holes then through the bar.

It's an each to their own thing really, you'd only find out if something bad happened.

Bad English and iPad changing my words lol

Harness bars aren't really designed to have the harnesses attached to them, they are designed to direct the harness through the seat properly. And give the correct angle of mounting for the harness (above 45 degrees or something)

I researched it when looking into harness bars and came across a lot of info about attaching harnesses to a harness bar, and the risks of the bar bending, moving etc if a crash occurred.

Hope that makes sense

Thats because there not designed to do the proper Job! It needs a rear support arm to take some of the pulling load, its the same as and sports coupe 2 seater it always goes to a reinforced bar anyway, It will work as my design is not a weak as that
