Hi All,

I recently had my factory fit tracker routinely tested by trackstar and they said that the GPS part of it doesnt seem to be working but they can still ring the tracker. They offered to come out and have a look at it but wanted £140 just for the pleasure seems a little steep to me seeing as you get nothing for that, just the visit. Any parts are extra and they say it may need complete new tracker. I was hoping to try and have a look and see if there is anything obvious wrong with the tracker. I did ask them whether they could tell me the location but they refused. Seems a bit ridiculous seeing as its my car and I had to give them passwords to prove it was me plus i have already paid a lifetime subscription fee. However as expected i cant find the bloody thing. Obviously this is a good thing for a would be thief but can anyone email the possible locations of the tracker in an EVO VI. Please dont put any information on the thread.

Thanks

Kerry

If you have paid for a lifetime subscription then it might be best if you leave it to them.

If they do turn up sooner or later and find that the unit has been tampered with, you could end up with a hefty bill for no reason whatsoever.

Units that tend to fail have issues with the transponders.

I doubt that you will make heads or tails of it even if you do manage to locate it.

Exactly! ;)

Some times, trying to do it yourself can cause more harm than good.
