Has the car been remapped at 1.5 peak ? If it has then you need to let me know what afr you are running,
and just maybe you can get away with running 1,7 peak.

Its Been Mapped By Simon And For I Could Remenber Its Running Just A Bit Ritch If Afr Stands For Air Fuel Ratio Lol Sorry Just A Guess

do you have any logs of the car, or any dyno runs with the fueling. With a 6 I'd say 1.6 is about right for safety, you could go higher but then your risking seeing a rod ;)

Good guess, how rich ? If it's between 10,8:1 and 11,2:1, you can run 1,7 peak, holding 1,6 bar without touching the map.

My VI has been peaking at 1.8 bar on stock internals for nearly 5 years and 27k miles, never missed a beat

Yes it is very possible, I have done a few evo 6 over here the past few years and are still going strong, with 1.8 and cams, but it is mapped at that boost, where the O.P is asking if he can up the boost using the existing map.

first you need to speak to Simon regarding the map, but I would not recommend turning the boost up without checking it whilst doing so and especially without seeing the current map.

if it is mapped for 1.5bar peak then chances are Simon has set the load limit to 1.6/1.7bar so turning up the boost will possibly cause you to hit the fuel cut.

(and for what you will gain is it really worth the risk?)

He will not hit fuel cut by upping the boost by 0.1bar, as he already runs 1.6 peak. No serious mapper sets a load limit by only 0.1bar above the specific boost around the map has been done, and no serious mapper maps a car at only the specific boost limit that the owner will be able to run, but above that at least by 0,2 bar.

If he does hit fuel cut so what, he will realize it by himself and turn it down, but I doubt he will, if the maps are rich and among the limits I mentioned, the O.P has nothing to worry about but not much to gain either.

he probably would be fine but how do you know? if he asked you to sign a disclaimer saying that you will foot the bill if it all went tits up based on your advise would you? (although I'm guessing you will still answer yes to that)

How do I know, well I believe 15yrs of tuning experience can justify that, and yes I would sign the disclaimer.
