Was he wearing earphones when he ran it on the rollers? Did he say anything about knocking/det/detonation/pulling timing?
He should've been wearing earphones to listen to the engine in order to run it safely on the dyno.
Do you have the fueling graph? The way the power drops off yet the boost is holding would suggest detonation (or poor mapping).
Do you know if it was mapped on the road or mapped on the dyno?
If it was mapped on the road then chances are it's fine, but either way to know for sure you need to get someone to check it whilst running it on the road. (only a ten minute job)
Are there any geekmappers local to you?

Not sure mate, I'm sure someone on here will know someone down there.
Don't worry about it too much in the meantime, but if your gunning it and you feel the power dropping of a bit then it would be wise to ease of the throttle a bit.
I've been taking it easy anyway never going over 6000 rpm as I felt the power drop off anyway so never drove it over 5500.

Just thought, you are running it on the correct fuel? vpower/tesco99 ?
Best to keep it below 5500rpm until it's sorted.
Took the graphs to a friend of mine today who is a bit of a geek with mapping etc..and he said whoever has dyno'd the car hasnt calibrated the torque with the hp andhasnt taken the reading from the rollers or something???so thats why the torque line is all over the place...
Also where the power drops off when holding boost he thinks whoever mapped it etc reduced the degree of ignition after det point which he said is wrong

But he has offered to fit a new ECU for me and map it properly :razz:
The only reason I didnt go to him in the first place is because his dyno is broken at the moment and he is waiting for parts.
Glad I had it checked though.
I don't know much about the setup of dynos but is the guy refering to the crossover point not being at 5250? If so then that is just down to different scalings on the graph.....not an issue.
Although possible I find that to be unlikely,
If the car experiences detonation on the dyno the standard ecu detects this and automatically reduces the ignition timing in order to try and save the engine from damage.
What is the spec of your car? and what do you want to use the car for, road, competition etc?
The standard ecu you have is more than capable for most applications unless you want a full on competition car and will save you a heap of money sticking ith the standard ecu.
