Too loud for the track!!

Hi all, anyone got any thoughts on this.

Wanting to book a track day and noticed there is a 105db noise limit got hold of a db meter and i am at 108db i have a 3" turbo back blitz nur spec system with decat do i need to go out and buy yet another system? or would puting the original 2.5" hks dragger back on will sort the noise problem but its not been mapped with that would this cause issue's. all help much appreciated

nur spec should of come with a bung for the tailpipe.
you can buy straight silencers on ebay. i bought one for my car and turned my de cat pipe into a silencer
just gut the pipe, slide it inside the silencer and weld round. took 4db off my car and exhaust is still a true 3" bore

I also have a blitz nur spec on mine and was threatened with an asbo lol. I have an apexi back box which quietens it down a lot but i hardly use the car so will be keepin the blitz on. I would sell it if it would help you? Its for a 4,5,6. Tho not sure if later models are same or not.

thanks for all the advice guys spoke to a mate who own Track Tek and he is going to knock something up for me with parts hes got knocking round the garage. May be interested in selling the stock HKS super dragger system though whats it worth? only did about 6k before i took it off

Just make sure you don't reduce the bore size of the exhaust. If you do it will effect the turbo and in turn effect fueling.

Restrictions ulter the back pressure on the turbo so effects how it works.

Any significant change and you should get the mapping checked
