The topic is recirc valves.......

Now I have fitted mine no probs and it's the third I have had on mine so I'm not a stranger to it.

Now I was havin a chat with my mate last night at a local meet and he was tryin to explain how his recirc dump valve was on and I said it sounded wrong.

Where the pipe connects to the valve from the boost source is where the piston is right and the other pipe where the air escapes from connects to the air intake and the lil vac hose goes on the end of it. well he had it the other way round, so basically the connection on the valve where the piston is was on the air intake so nothin was pushin the piston and the pipe comin from boost source was connected to the side of the valve so had nothin to compress.

He has a Ibiza cupra. He had been on his forum today and they have told him it was right before and that I have put it the wrong way. I'm baffled is a seat different to every other car.....

Its a safety thing more than anything just to stop the turbo stalling, the valve to the pressure source is the right way but for some strange reason some people decide to swap it round usualy people do this if they have a weak valve and cant afford a new one, and i have heard some customers say before that it gives you more boost " this is far from truth" all it does is kill your turbo quicker

Yh I explained to my mate that it's basically the same as if you just blank off all the pipes. The correct install is the way I did it and like I say the cupra owners have said its the other way round. I said to him last night to buy another valve or pop another spring in. He has even said he can now hear his dump valve where as before he couldn't
