Thinking Of Selling...

right, wondering what you guys think, last few days been thinking of selling, had the car six months. I hardly use the car, i work away so just sits in my mates lock up, when i am home il use it to go to lasses, thats 25 miles on a straight road. I really hate the attention it gets, hate leaving it in car parks, hate leaving it at our lasses over night and its not even a bad place haha. Other day came back to a car park, and could see a fella running over car park, suddenly realised that he had stopped at was looking into my car, his mates car pulled up along side it and guy was walking around it, as i was closed i pressed the fob so car made noise, he jumped in car and they sped off. may of just been admiring it, but just didnt look that way.

Does anyone else get feelings like this?! Just unsure what to do, cars perfect and car i always wanted, but just seems a waste with me hardly using it, and when i do i get unwanted attention.

its an 8mr if that matters at all

For me if you don't use it,it's a complete waste.
I use my car rain snow or shine, some of my mates won't even bring their evos out if they can see a cloud in the sky. Don't get me wrong I don't like doing it but I didn't buy it to look at ;)

My car gets attention a load, I get random people saying 'nice car' or 'rev it' and I get people in lesser cars trying to race, I don't like leaving it in car parks unless its mothers and babies and it drinks like a fish.................. But f@&k it! I paid a shit load for it always wanted one, its my daily drive and gets used no matter the weather, it does me well.

By the sounds of it you have an evo mate, they aren't the kind of car that blends in, but if you use it I would say its worth keeping, what else would you buy? A drag car for your 25 mile straight journey once a week. ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21368482957.504629.jpgthis pic says it all

As much as they are forbidden on here. I sold my scooby late 2011 in oct/nov and bought a BMW diesel.

January 2012 came and I was saving like crazy to buy something similar! The plan was a IV I ended up in a V :awesome:

It was when I was on my own, on country roads wanting to have a play that I totally missed the "fun" car.

That's so true.

Going to say the opposite, I don't think my cars gets all that sort of attention. Yeah had a few people looking at it in car parks, when your driving it turns the odd head but can't say its much more than that. Must just be the colour haha

sums it up for me
i've a few mates the same, burg astra an evo 8mr, if the sun wasnt out, it was in the garage

i didn spend £££ to look at it, its my daily car an love every minute of it but i do get stared at by the local gang, so i need to invest in alarm and immobiliser to keep them away an maybe a steering lock

can you not find some better routes to your GF?
there's not much you can do on a straight road other than accelerate
to licence losing speeds for (blandest of) thrills and of course, familiarity breeds contempt - i got bored with my 7 daily driving it the same boring route to work each day in manchester.

I work away alot, i use it when home what ever weather, so Its not that it just sits in garage all the time coś of that. Just not sure about it at the moment. If i sold it i Wouldnt regret it, as much as i love It, Its only a car. May actually look about alternative routes to hers.

yeah - finding nice drives is a good thing... ultimately they're a costly thing to justify if they aren't giving you any thrill driving them
