Exactly El, that goes for anything really, anything that puts down a layer of protection also needs to cure/bond, can be pretty much instant or 20 mins. If you put a thin layer down, it cures/bonds nicely and isn't a complete nightmare to buff off! SRP leaves a good surface for a wax or sealant to go down too, a massively under rated product. when putting on a wax the same rules apply! Thinly and leave to cure for 20 minutes or so. If in doubt, swipe your fingers across it, if it comes off it's ready to be buffed off, if it streaks, leave it longer. If it's a nightmare to buff off, you've put too much on! There are exceptions to the rules but these will say on their directions of use

I find that the resin works better on Jap paints.

Is there any particular reason for this???

Andy, around thee engine bay spray with a degreaser and then agitate with a brush, rinse with a hose pipe (cover any electrics with plastic bags.) and then protect with a sealant.... if it's laquered treat as paintwork. If stainless steel, get some autosol, it's mega!

Cheers Hunty ill try the autosol on mi scooby engine  to clean it up so it looks nice in the pics on ebay :):):)

Unsure El, different paints react differenly with various products due to differences in manufacturers ingredients. Can take a while to find the right products for your car

No worries Andy, it's great for exhaust tail pipes too, gives it back that brand new sparkle, always worth having in your garage, Let us know how you get on with it!
