thinking of buying a evo

hi im new here hi im thinking about buying a evo but am wanting to know what they are like on fuel I had a legnum vr4 just over a year back and am just wanting to know if there is much difference I used to get on a full tank about 190 miles would the evo be better or worse ?

Hi,well it depends on how you drive,its either bad or very bad,ive got a V (5) and if im correct they have smallish tanks for weight saving,and mine takes about £60 to fill up and that gets me roughly 150ish miles,much less if its a spirited drive,but you have to think with an Evo its not MPG its SPG (smiles per gallon)

What GKITCH said... Plus modified/tuned cars are likely to be more expensive to fuel and maintain. IMHO there not a car to use as a daily driver unless you have plenty of money and a petrol card!

Mine is far more expensive than any of the 5 Imprezas iv'e owned.... But its more fun too!

I drove astra VXR from home... Peebles.. Scotland.. To Birmingham...
280 miles.. 3/4 of tank..
Fq300 home...just over 3/4 of tank..
Seating in the evo much better than VXR recaro seats..
What I have noticed with the evo is I don't drive like a dafty as much as did with the VXR..... Hmmmm..

If it will just be your week end car then go for it,buy one with lots of history and NOT from some 'supposed expert dealer who doesn't even know what they are selling'

Its all about the way you drive mate. I've seen 300 miles out of my 570bhp Evo X on one tank. Mainly cruising on the motorway/Autobahn but still I think thats impressive for a car that only has 5 gears.

I have a 6 now did have a 3 the 6 ain't bad on petrol tbh 250 miles to a tank the 3 was 170 to a tank same sizes
But same as anything stick it foot down and it will go down quicker
