mate your a utter and complete hero in my eyes, i adore these, me and a mate went half on a series !! a couple of years ago and restored it completely,what a job, it was a non runner ex army with a canvace roof, yes they are slow and finding the right gear is nails but if you decide to restore it you'll not want to get rid i promise you now,

TBF matey it's not to bad:blush:Only been welded on the O/S/F Spring hanger!

I had a series 2 petrol many years ago. The effort to turn the steering wheel, like having a work out in the gym taking it for a drive.
Mine had the overdrive box fitted and you could take it off the end of the speedo scale and start coming back around to zero again
Great fun though

Yeah well mine was tax exempt :whistling::whistling:, yeah that strange mine was welded in the same place but on the opposite side, it also has side roll up windows aswel, spade on the bonnet with a snorkel running up to the roof. it was epic :wub:

Yes Deano the petrol's are better than the diesel:razz:All i want to do is cruise around with the door top's off,screen folded forward with the roof and rear door off,shades,short's and flip flop's on(calm down simon):razz:Roll on the summer:whistling: Can not beat the look of a series with a snorkel on either frankie!

ha ha,a mate used to have an old landrover and ive never been in something so slow,it was like driving around in a museum and it was so slow we tried, and failed to overtake a learner,was very funny.

I have to work that bit out as I took it in px along with a 04 Focus Ghia TDCi and some money against the Hyundai Tuscon we had in for sale!!

Plan is johno to have a bit of a play whilst tidying it up and getting it upto my spec how land rovers should be and then sell it on!

If I can find a soft top at the right money I might change it as these old Series look fantastic with the hard tops and window frames off!

Once it's done I think £2000 will be a fair price for it with it being a late series 3!

My mate is doing one of these for a customer, he's stripped it to chassis had it sand blasted
Welded bit them had it pained black and now fitting the engine and wiring should be a nice thing when its done, don't ask me what model it is tho

Once you work out how much it is you gave for it...and that figure comes to more than 59p, you are a bigger tool than I originaly thought :razz:

Series 3 update time guy's!

Spent a few hours on the old girl this afternoon! Gave her a truck wash and some wash and wax treatment and steamed all the chassis and arch area's ready for under sealing!
