The time has come

Right this Friday as I will have a day spare and won't be using the at for a few days I will be tidying up the car, calipers refurbed but I'm thinkin silver instead of red, and gonna re do the wheels as they look tatty beyond belief after me wrecking them when I didn't. Care cos the engine blew. Will attempt a repair on the front bumper where someone cracked my new mod, and that's all I think I can cram into a full day. What's peoples thoughts on silver calipers anyone done this or seen any pics of finished piece, I'm possibly gonna do something a lil different with the wheels too maybe inners of the spokes silver and black face and rim

Doesent sound like a bad idea that . Would u have to strip all the red paint off first ? Or just key it and go over it with another colure ?

Don't primer callipers. Primer is porous and air trapped in will expand with the heat of the brakes and crack/bubble your paint on top. Use VHT silver paint then normal lacquer on top to get the best result.

I have the high temp silver so it's all good and will normal laquer be ok? Ok so no primer just a good sand back and plenty of masking tape lol or I'll have silver everything.

You can get the decals on feabay can't you?

Well the day arrived and nothin went to plan and other things popped up so I done the wheels cleaned up re lacquered the spoiler and re lacquered the calipers. Looks a lot better

I love the dark lettering , looks really good onion a silver Evo and really sets off the carbon blade on spoiler .

One of the first things I did was walk off all the letters and spray them, you could hardly see it when it was silver

She's all sorted mechanically, sort of lol, only thing that's annoying me is that clunking when turning left or right, I have had a new drive shaft put in last year and that didn't solve it, so think it's the bolts

She's had a service and an actuator fitted, she seems to be running sweet again but time will tell, this is my car we're talking about lol, she's booked in for the 18th of June to have her wings sorted and sprayed and the bumper sprayed, the wheels will be going another colour then too, so she's getting there slowly but surely

Ah that's good to hear have you had it mapped to sort out the fuel consumption
