Been a while but I'm still around

Well I woke up yesterday @ the calling of little man asking for a feed and Emma said she would take him out for a few hours to give me a well deserved nap :razz: I had about 30mins kip and stood at the window looking at the remains of my old evo and said I'm gonna work on u today

I decided that I was gonna remove the fuel tank and aircon as it was fairly easy and I had roughly enough time to get it all out :lol:

I removed the aircon in next to no time at all and found myself staring at my new engine crane and stand and before I knew it this had happened lol

I couldn't find a good anchor point on the block so called a friend and he said lift it from the head studs and do them finger tight so they wont get damaged ..

Got a clever hoist level with my crane witch came in handy when lifting the block and box out as I had sold both the lower engine mounts so they had to come out together

The engine mounts on the evo are designed to be dropped out not lifted so had to lower the engine down first to remove the mounts and then tilt the level to make room for it to lift out ..

I hit abit of a snag when I was lifting it all out. the car is raised up on axle stands (on there highest setting so I can get me and my belly underneath) and when I got to lifting it all out I first couldn't get it over the shell and then once I wiggled the hoist about it hit the bloody garage door

So I did what any other person would of done I called the local A Team ( my bro's ) Dan came round with a couple of trolley jacks so we lifted the body up and lowered the axle stands. we created SPACE

So this is as it stands

The following day I managed to find a few hours to get the rest of the work done on the block and now it's ready to be honed and skimmed with the crank being micro polished

Hopefully in about 2weeks can start my build with newly ordered parts

Manley H beam rods
ACL race bearing main and rod
ARP rod bolts

Been a slight change of plan I ordered my parts from America to try and save on cost and as a result they have given me a 2month delivery time and are also out of stock

So I have decided to rethink my build and will now be using evo 9 rods and pistons to save about 700 quid and being it my first build of it goes wrong it will be a expensive mistake :razz:

So I sourced some 9 rods and pistons for £200

And should be here 2moro

Anyone got any idea where I can order new bearings on the cheapish ?

Would like to use uprated but mitsi 1's will do

Well the idea is to rebuild this block to a high standard then look for a 6/7/8 and drop my engine in and test it will be looking at running an FP green to push it a little and have just got my hands on a 8mr head with 272 cams and pulleys

So it won't be log before I start the build
