Bad news about the box mate. Not what you want is it

looking in the for sale bit and somebody selling a evo 4 rs uprated short shift gearbox 500 quid is that a good gearbox mate and just got some more bad news got a balanced and lightend flywheel a while ago and it wont fit he said its of a 789 so he said i will need a new one as the one i had on the car was too worn to skim and was slightly bent a new one is 290 plus vat more money costing me a fortune

It's a short ratio box mate not short shift. Ok for track work but a nightmare on the motorway cos the car will rev quite a bit higher.

As for the clutch the flywheel from a 8/9 will fit a 5/6 as long you use the same clutch. but not sure about using a Evo 4 box.

what sort of box do u reckon i should be looking for mate, thought id ask u as you have the tommi too, ive just had the helix organic clutch fitted and a new flywheel, gonna put me old box back on for now for fast show hopefully be ok and maybe get a box next month

just a normal 5/6 box mate i think but when i get time ill have a look see if there are any differences

Fly wheel should fit mate. There is probably a dowl rod/locating pin that needs removing thats all...

GOONER8 right plan of action is you meeting scratcher at toddington services ( he will be in touch soon with times etc) its just easier for you to go that way and easier for him as well. we havent forgotten about you just been trying to work out who is meeting who, when and where.

As far as the plan goes for me, im meeting jay, chris and others at baldock services at 7am.

basically its 86 miles 1hour 45. If i meet you guy's its 110 miles and 2 hours 45. So say's aa route planner?
