So i guess this is it.........time to get rid of the Evo 5 even with her being so beutiful!

After it filing the MOT again and the 'garage' not being able to bring the emissions down I gave Chris @ C1-R a shout and what can I say, absolute top bloke.....ever need any work doing and can get to him i would.

So he had it to give it a once over and diagnose whats wrong.........well i think i would run out of characters before i finish the list he compiled.

Bottom line it is going to be better to break it for spares than to fix it........and that was in his honest opinion (a garage doing themselves out of work, shows how bad it is!)

Main issue for me is that i have done probably 3000 miles since i bought it and these must have been underlying issues before i had (and i am talking for a good while!) so i got stung and was sold a dud one.

I have enjoyed all the time i have had in it and hope to be back on here again soon with another!

Thanks to everyone for all their comments and help since being a member........

Can I ask what is wrong with it and how much you might want for it as it is?

Best bits:
Set of Black 18" Ultralite Atec II (bought from SuperMario and not doe any miles on them since putting on the car!)
Calipers reconditioned and powder coated Kawazaki Green
Brand new Bright Green braided brake hoses (rears just in car not even fitted yet!)
Brand new discs and pads (front and rear) covered no miles!
Seats in excellent condition
All body panels in immaculate condition
Has the 3 Ralliart Gauges (not fitted but are in the car)
Original Steering wheel with airbag

The reasons its going:
  • Incorrect non genuine size/shape cat fitted.
  • Front right caliper bleed nipple leaking from the threads even when tight- It is a different nipple to the other ones.
  • Front left ABS ring missing teeth
  • All ABS rings all corroded and out of shape
  • Rear diff has a bad leak, seems to be coming from left seal
  • Engine oil leak - unable to start to check to see where it is coming from
  • Spark plug holes badly coated in oil
  • Significant oil in cylinder 2. It needs further investigation
  • Excessive oil coming from all intercooler pipes and secondary air banjo bolt joints - Suspect turbo failing
  • Fuel filler neck badly rotten as well as cover
  • Exhaust joints all badly corroded
  • Both rear chassis legs seriously out of shape and badly rotten and possibly unrepairable
  • Both rear camber arm outer bushes have excessive play
  • Right rear ABS wiring not protected and hanging low
  • AYC lines badly corroded
  • Large dent in sump where oil pick up pipe is.
  • Battery is insecure
  • Hose to expansion tank torn
  • Coolant concentration weak
  • Rear Foglight has no indicator illumination, It operates very strangely and in certain situations can bring on all lights from the foglight switch. Requires further investigation
So i am looking for a decent price.............
