Sorry this is my first post on here. I've been on the MLR for around 3 years and only really heard of this site on Sunday after Si remapped my Evo.

After fitting a 80 series obviously needed a remap, heard a few good comments about Simon@nts (sbn1979 on MLR) and after meeting him at Connors Day in Huddersfield I decided I'd like him to do the work.

What can I say? I'm chuffed with the end result. Totally different car to before, but you would expect that after fitting an 80 series, it isn't only the remap which was excellent. I originally went over to meet Si two weeks ago, while trying to remap we kept having a few problems. Original recirc was leaking (thanks to Baldy from the MLR for the new one) then it was constantly over boosting and dropping boost (my fault for putting boost pipes on the wrong way around) :whistling: . We ran out of time so we arranged to have another go the following week. Long story short , I turned up, tried again, kept over boosting. Turned out the original boost pipes were used after my rod job, these have a restrictor in which causes the over boost.

Car now comes on boost well, holds a healthy 1.8bar and pulls hell of a lot better than before.

Si was more than patient and helpful. I would recommend his services :wtf: ha to anyone.

Sorry if it doesn't come across too well, my bro-in-law has been over and forced me to go to the pub :sneaky:

See you soon once I have some cams.

I never said I wasn't happy with it.
I fitted the 80 series and needed it remapping so decided to let Si do it. The rod job was done (in 5 days) a year ago, the remap at the time was done on the standard 6 turbo.

You Don't have to sign up over here to see what i am up to as it get's reported back daily over the road:whistling:

Did the dump valve play up when you fitted the 80 series turbo then? I take it the valve was the standard VI plastic one?
