temperamental ayc light

I got my evo 4 gsr a few months age and the ayc light wasn't on, i soon realised that it didn't come on with the ignition so put a bulb in where someone had removed it and suprise suprise, the light came on every time i drove it. This stayed the same for the last 2 months untill yesterday, i did about 20 miles in three different trips and the light didn't come on, the car also felt different when cornering quickly, on the way to work this morning the light didn't come on but did on the way home. Is there anything i can check that would make the ayc work occasionaly but be faulty most of the time?

Time for a new pump then! Well, either that or the pressure switch has failed, which does happen.

Thats what i thought before. I didnt know if there could be a reason it now sometimes doesnt come on when it always has until now?
