Hey everyone im wanting to buy a evo 7.i dont know much about them and im wanting togo for a fq 300 but was wondering how you would tell it was a real fq and not a gsr.

fq 300 will have a carbon spoiler blade and end caps also carbon dash inserts

in the 8 the id plate is by the gear stick im only assuming but it could be around the same place, if in doubt do a reg check, some of them work well enough to give all info

I don't think the VII had a number plaque.

As for the reg check I wouldn't bother cos when most of the cars were imported they were not identified very well anyway and it shows cos the v5 reg document for my VII said it was an RS II and I can assure you it wasn't lol

There is hardly any difference between a Gsr and a fq300 anyway so I wouldn't be to worried. What's 20bhp when most cars around have had an exhaust and de-cat fitted anyway which would make the 280bhp irelevent anyway.
