Hi Everyone...
I'm new to this forum... 2weeks ago bought myself an Evo viii Mr Fq320
It's all good and has a few mods....
On two random occasions when I've started her up all 3 lights have lit up (Tarmac/ gravel/ snow).. Not quite sure why? And when I've tried to press the button to alternate between lights nothing happens .. But after driving it for 5mins or so I've switched off engine and restarted and then it's been ok - back to just one light on..
Does any one know why or what this mean??? Anyone else experienced the same???

Good day, on start up all 3 lights should light up for a few seconds then go out leaving one on then you push the AYC button to select the type you want.

Has the AYC been serviced. Ideally should be done very 3k to help pump failure.

Check the fluid level, you will find the reservoir in the boot on left side behind a carpet panel. If it's not fluid level you may be looking at a refurb of the ayc pump or new abs sensor needed, if fluid doesn't fix issue then flash out the code by bridging pins 1-4 on the ecu and count the flashes on the dash

Thanks for replies guys... I think the AYC was serviced around 6months ago... Yes normally when I turn on ignition all 3 light up then after a few second it goes to Tarmac... It's happened twice now... I was planning to do a service in December time... Do you think it will ok to hang on until then... ?

Can u recommend an Evo specialist I can go to.... I live in London by the way?
And how much does your service usually cost you?
Also do you have to do AYC and diff oils every six month... This might be completely incorrect but somebody told me obviously you need 6monthly services and the first service needs to be engine oil, filters etc then the following service the same thing+ AYC then the next service diff oils to be included.. Then the cycle repeats...
Is this wrong??
Sorry I'm very new to the Evo world and appreciate any advice from you experts!!

There are a few around the London area, best do a bit of research
I personally do the engine / gearbox / diff / transfer / AYC every 6 months
Just because I'm like that, I know that people change the AYC regularly due to pump failure being very common and costs a few ££ to fix, all depends how much you use your car to service if you're doing 20k a year best to full service but if you hardly doing any first service should be a full and after that engine and AYC then after that full service again....etc...

Prices all depends on where you go and what oils you use, but make sure you use good quality like millers or Motul...
