yup and still dont have a fast car, if you want a fast car you have a fast car in the first place  i dont see the point tuning hondas

when i see hondas advertised civics type rs and tegs there could be a big page of spec then says:car made 220bhp on dyno :confused::confused:

why bother??

they are bullet proof but why spend 1000s for minimal gain?

I got a lot of respect for type r's I loved mine but it was what it was though a hot hatch. They look for the magic 300 and there's no point they can't put the power down. Mine on the end I'm guessing was running around 230 bhp and that was enough for it. It took on my brothers scooby at the time and sat at its side so I was happy as his was wrx with ppp.
Your right though for big power get a better base to start from

A standard DC5 Integra would not be far off a standard EVO. Much less transmision loss on a fwd and when tuned up they are pretty rapid cars (also a fair bit lighter).
A standard FD2 type-r would probably trounce a standard evo on a track too.

Not a hope ,I got out of my lightly tuned Evo 5 and got into a a dc5 type r for a test drive And it was like getting into a hen house no comparison at all and the dc5 probably had more money spent on performance parts than my Evo!!

The hondas go like stink and sound awsome in vtec which usually gives the driver or passenger false hope that its faster than it is. Dnt get me wrong my ep3 showed my brothers scoobies well but my e8 is leagues ahead in all areas
