Hey guys,

My AYC light has came on (evo 6) and i have been meaning to get it looked at. There is no noises or anything the light just comes on after you move about 100mtrs.
Should i take it into the mitsubishi dealer in Aberdeen or is it maybe something more simple which i can diagnose? They will prob rip me a new ahole if i mention AYC....:D
I also heard that locally they are the only garage who will bleed the ayc system.

Cheers Danny

Yes mate i plan to be taking a trip there very shortly for tuning but wanted to make sure everything else was ok as it is a 3 hour drive from me. If i was going all that way i would need to get everything done at the same time which they wouldnt be able to give me a total cost unless i knew exactly what was wrong. Is there any way to diagnose the fault and hq might be an option. Cheers buddy

Bridge pins 1 and 4 on the obd connector (under steering wheel) turn ignition on and count the flashes of the ayc light. Long flashes are 10's short flashes are 1's. eg 8 long flashes followed by 3 short is code 83. Then do a search on here for the fault code.

82 is in pump failed! In other words pump is fudged!! Will need replacing or refurbing
You can buy a refurb kit and there is a vid on here somewhere detailing wat to do if your handy with the spanners!

Sorry to be bringer of bad news!
