I dont know if this is me being an utter retard, but i just received my tactrix openport 2.0, went to plug it in the car, put one plug into the ODBII port and the other plug that i assumed went into the ecu as it looked that right shape plug, turns out it isnt the same size as any of the plugs going into the ecu. so where else could it go?

what model evo do you have?


the small plug goes into the socket next to the obd (evo 7/8/9)

or the socket will be above the obd in the loom, possibly still taped into the loom.

its on an evo 4, iv checked all wires around the ODB pport but cant find any similar plug, its pretty much the size size plug as one that goes into ecu but slightly smaller. im so confused! haha

I should've said that its higher up in the loom on the evo 5/6

on the evo 4 you will need to run a wire to pin 79 on the ecu to enable you to plug it in/flash it


....you do have a later ecu fitted? the evo 4 ecu is not mapable.
