Has anyone had any dealings with these guys in Dover? Bought a car from them? Would like to know good/bad points if any? Would save me a 4hour trip down there. Thanks.

Hmm just trawled through MLR. Mixed messages, although most people on there say steer clear with the odd one saying the cars were fine, albeit Scooby buyers only. Probably not worth the trip then.

..yet more trawling of that site brings up motors that have been fine.??? Lots of nobs saying 'DOn't do it' and 'Steer clear' but nothing remotely helpful as to why they say that or what evidence they have to back up there two cents. So overall none the wiser.

Pay them a visit and see what they have. I have heard some horror stories about Keighley Performance Centre in Yorkshire, things like MOT's just done but when the car was being driven home rear bearings were gone, clunking noises over speed bumps. One lad bought an Evo V from them and brought it round to us for a quick check over. Once on the ramp we discovered that he had extensive corrosion that had been patched up with fibre glass and then had ben rubbed over with dust to camouflage it LOL!!!,

I have Never heard anything about SVA, either positive or negative. The MR2 GT-S that I had before the one I have right now was imported in by them. 6 years on and I bought it from the first UK owner. The car was good as gold but I did notice he had spent alot on the first MOT he had to do himself which was over £1000!!!

As for the steer clear and don't remarks, what I have noticed on that site is they never answer your question, when they do, it is with another question!!! They must feel so big inside their bubbles that they don't realise they are perceived as bafoons!!! There are some good guys over there who will help you out but unfortunately they are a minority.

The strange thing is that they feel they must reply as the privilege to reply and post has cost them £35!!!

Pop over to SVA and let us know how it went. At least there will be a genuinely independent review for the rest of us to use as a reference:D

Cheers guys. Seems there is a lot of hearsay going on at MLR so looks like I'll have to pop down and see for myself. Checked out travel down there from London and its only an hour on the train so may take a day of work?? though will lose a days pay :(. Or could wait for my job to finish and pop down.

That fibre glass job sounded rough. Reminds me of people putting sawdust in the A series engine!!
