Hi guys
I'm heading from Livingston to Aberdeen to check out a yellow evo 8 today.
The registration plate is SV05 ORT , wondering if anyone on here recognises the plate?

The reason I'm asking is I've done a HPI check on the vehicle and everything checks out other than it's been through a colour change, is this more than likely to be due to a crash? (Although the hpi has no record of a crash)

The car seems very clean bodywork wise , all door checks and engine bay have been painted . The car has only 35000 on the clock with full service history which is great but should I let the change of colour put me off?

Not seen it going about. It could be a garage queen with that mileage.

I would take someone with you who knows what to look out for or pay for a vehicle inspection to be done just for peace of mind you dont want your fingers burnt

If it's main dealers service history I could as my mate that's the head mechanic at Aberdeen mitsubishi if he knows the car. Or check up the service history for you. Send me a Pm if you need bud. :D

Thanks for the advice guys.

Made the trip up today and I'm deeply disappointed.
The car is far from a garage queen. It was originally white and had been sprayed yellow (very poorly by any standard).
The garage selling the car told me 35000miles on the clock, it actually had 36500. 1500 of a difference not to bad until taking a look at the current MOT certificate it said 66948. Test drove the car (my first time in an evo) car was very quick and responsive , no knocks or bangs.
Got back and on closer inspection the inner plastics on the headlight were badly broken, this was on the passenger side and when I opened the bonnet there were lots of new parts on that side of the engine bay which makes me think the car has been in some kind of accident. The bonnet had a serial Number on the underside which matched nothing else on the car.

The search continues as I thought £10900 for this standard of car was insane .
I think who ever buys this car will have nothing but a headache.

Sorry had a bit of a brain fart that last post. Think I know that garage. Went to look at a astra for the girlfriend there. The boy was a bit of a d**k. Not really interested. Just walked away. There is a nice e8 260 over the road if you are a member.

Glad you noticed it all and walked away, it's scary how many bodied cars are out there!
