Alright guys

As you know ive only had the car just over a week and im still getting to know it. The suspension was setup by the previous owner and is just Apex lowering springs on standard dampers and top mounts.

Last night driving around a small roundabout at some speed but by no means excessive, I got a twaaang! And as I came out and straighned up I had a heavy pull to the right and a knocking on the NSF, pulled over imidiatly, had a look about, couldnt see anything???

Sat back in the car, gave it lock to lock, got another twang anf then the car was fine again????:wtf:

Obviously I haven't had the car up in the air yet to take a look but i'm guessing that the spring delocated, anyone else had issues with lowering springs???

I need to readjust my springs, when i was up at evo tune he pointed out that the top and bottom mounts werent lined up, think theres 3 holes and middle ones need to line up, mine dont, he said it might make a noise, maybe thats what yours might be doing? As to look at you cant see anything, mines not far out, wont take me long to adjust anyway

ah mine doesnt make a noise, and doesnt pull, in fact it doesnt seem to make a difference, but i could see what he meant so going to do mine.

id just drop the strut and look at spring, maybe it wasnt seated properly for it to do that, thats if it was that.

I dont know what else it could be TBH, especially as it sorted itself out after doing a lock to lock. It hadnt made a noise up until half way round the roundabout and hasnt since. Ive gotta do a rear lower arm bush on it tomorrow so ill check it out then :)

Sounds like you may have a broken coil spring, someyimes the top or botton snaps off, check them thoroughly buddy.

My teins used to knock for months, full lock you would near the near side spring make the noise. Settled after a good few moths and never had an issue..

Worth checking see if the springs have in seated. Can't see a spring snapping he wheel would be in the arch!

Well I had a look earlier with car partially jacked up, no sign of any breaks and it looks like its seated correctly, so I can only presume that it wasnt seated before and only a roundabout and lock to lock got it into the right postion, I will however drop the strut out tomorrow just to be on the safe side
