Right you lot car has gone in now for it's AP's front and back and while it is there i think i might change the suspension as the old girl's damper's have coverd 47k and are 14 years old!

Not very pretty when going airborn on landing:shock:

Just wondered what suspension to go for...ie new evo XIII/IX Bilstein dampers all round and some lowering springs or go for Bilstein coilover's;)

I don't use the car alot but when i do it's mainly on twisty B roads and as of yet i haven't done a trackday or any sprint's but i would like to go to Nurburg and the odd trackday over here:D

Why does everybody go straight for coilover's instead of the later model's damper's on the V/VI?

All the suspension upgrade's i will be fitting will be brand new!

They don't normally go for new model suspension because the turret mounting points are different.
If you can get the strut of the mount and swap for your one then I don't see why not.

Gt yourself to nurburgring first weekend in aug!

Get coilovers Mario, you'll see many more benefits with those for how you use the car, you can have it set up much better for the use too.

Just watch out you don't go too low, if you do you will need to get a roll centre kit, but I'm not sure they are easily available for VI's like they aren't for V's.

Need to drag you to blyton sometime too according to Simon :D

Pretty basic stuff matey.

Slowly stripping the car inside lol.

BC RM coilovers contemplating some stiffer springs for these.

Braced up all round and under

Whiteline rear ARB

Brake set up was brembos, performance friction disks with ds2500 pads HEL lines etc (absolutely fine on the nurburgring, reached their limit at blyton) this brake set up is changing soon though ;)

AD08 tyres

Probably more stuff too that IV done and forgotten lol, check my WIP thread out for full spec

The important one, Full geo done by BTR prep, would also recommend Track torque in York did my mates scoob, was fab service.

A lot of its getting your head around settings, the fact that there's no perfect setting but settings that suit you.

But like I said coilovers are the way to go so you can get better camber etc when it comes to Geo time. My friend had the best strut and spring combo on his scoob but BC's with a proper geo have changed so much he can't believe it :D I nagged at him for months to go coilovers too!

Well I have nurburgring first weekend of aug, so hopefully late aug next trackday, try and do blyton again as it ps good fun and pretty safe if you have a "moment" :p
