Iv closed the gap as it was larger than the recommend ".55", however didn't take for a run as I have noticed a fuel leak I presume. Underneath the rear seat, drivers side. I assume the fuel pump is in this location. If it is I will be upgrading to a walbro. I would like it setting up properly but iv got some problems on the front passenger wheel (knocking on right lock, and doesn't feel stable) so I want to avoid a rolling road tune if that's what a map will involve, just till its fixed.

Been told it could be the fuel filter pipe if not the pump. As its a known fault on the evo's.

If it's a violent jolt when it cuts then it will be the fuel cut, but it shouldn't be cutting at 15psi so suggest you do a leak test on the intake as this will cause boost cut with lower boost pressures and also mess up the regular fueling of the engine.

Apologies again to the op but set mine to .55 and mine pulls like a train. sorted. 
. as for your knocking it could be a cv joint or inner strut knocking. the grease wears out and they fill with water. common problem and its a diy fix so dont let it worry you. basic skills can sort it. im sure theres a sticky on here or over the road on the register. let us know how you get on.
