Whats supposed to be in the inner cv joint?..... i assumed that all cv joints inner and outer had cv grease in? Just removed my inner boot and got spunked on! :wtf: it was the consistancy of thick oil and not grease, it looks like oil out of a car when the head gasket has gone.....is this right?

no that's not right, should be greese.

what happens is there is a cap inside the inner joint, bit like a 10p that can be dislodged when shafts are refitted. this then allows the transfer box oil to mix into the shaft. clean the shaft out and im afraid your gonna have to replace the gearbox oil :)
