i think unless its purely a track hack then yea ok strip it but if not then leave it alone.

there aint much to take out to strip it anyway so not really much gain to be had unless your gonna go fiberglass doors etc :)

i'd say leave it cos when you go to some shows that are long distance like coombe you'll regret it :)

Leave it. I stripped out my 9 for shits and giggles to see how it would be, it made the exhaust massively louder, it droned more and i could hear every mechanical noise from the car including the plates in the rear diff and rose joints in the suspension. Since putting the interior back in and sound proofing the doors i'm MUCH happier :) and its a weekend toy!

Do it fella, full rally look with cage, seats, etc :)

You'll have to get a bright orange cage tho to match the wheels :D

if your wanting to do it to save weight . then look out for some rs parts . i belive the doors / glass/ suspension /hubs/ arms / ect are lighter .

if your's is a gsr .

and look at unsprung weight / wheels tyres ect .

as removing the rear seat just makes the car look untidy for such little gain .

I've been in a mates E6 thats been stripped out and it didn't bother me.
I run a tuned Aprilia RSV Mille aswell and thats loud :D So noise isn't an issue.
I'm not after just saving weight but the look aswell.

depends what you want it for, if like said a track /sprint toy, then i would just take out what you dont need, ie i had to remove rear seats cus of the cage, and harness bar, boot is all empty cus off battery and meth tank, seats throw away the originals and get some light weight buckets, ive kept my a/c cus i like it....

I have gone ahead and started stripping it :p

Stage 1 complete
-Boot
-Door cards
-Rear seats
-Rear belts
-Centre console/hand brake surround

Loving it already  Feels lighter and quicker and not dragging the arse so much ... lol

Have even noticed the pops/bangs improved with less load on the engine
