Strange small noise from the motor when in motion

Yea he mentioned it happens when it's engaged, that's what made me thought it could be that, but I could be wrong though.

sorry prob explained that wrong, when i said engauged i ment when clutch peddle was pushed down...
one other thing have you checked exhaust hitting prop

No if it is the bearing, and I could well be wrong, you don't need to take the clutch out, the release bearing is in the gear box bell housing.
But get it diagnosed by a professional mec cos I don't want you to take your car apart and find out it's not that lol

Release bearing is in the gearbox bell housing yes along with the clutch and flywheel

Gearbox has to be removed which is quite a big job for someone that hasn't done it before.

Strange that it only does it at 70mph. You probably wouldn't notice a thrust bearing rattle at that speed. Normally just when stationary so probably rules that idea out.

Best to get a good local mechanic to check it over cos we are all just clutching at straws here

if it does it at 70, i still reckon wheel bearing. If you drive along at 70 while its making the noise, and gently steer left and right, listen to see if the noise gets worse and goes away as you steer from one way to the other.
