So I needed to change the drivers side ABS sensor, which I managed without too much hastle. However now when coming to a stop slowly I.E pressing the brake pedal very lightly the ABS seems to be kicking in, but in all other conditions such as heavy braking it works fine the car stops and the ABS works as it should. Anyone had this issue before or has any ideas where to begin in diagnosing the problem as I have no idea...

Thanks for your help very useful articles, turns out the sensor was orientated the wrong way, so the rectangular magnet was verticle not horizontal. I rotated it to the correct way and its now fine however the bracket doesnt line up with the bolt hole now!

Think it's a copy tbh, I was in a rush to get one, searched for evo 8 ABS sensor and bought the first one, It fits in and works in it's current orientation, even has all the clips up the wire in the correct place. Maybe the whole bracket can rotate but I couldnt get it to budge yesterday. Confusing!

sounds like a broken inductive pulse ring on one of the cv joints

Probably not the correct sensor IMO.

Have you had a try at rotating the bracket again???

Sensor was for a normal lancer I think, nope the bracket is still sticking out the side but it works for now until I get a new sensor.
