still got overboost??

Shifted boost gauge from where i had it the first time to the dump valve so thats fine now. but still got the problem i had originally when accelerating hard it boosts as far as 22 psi? as tho there nothin to control the boost?

is the car remapped?

what is controlling the boost? ecu or aftermarket controller

have you checked the actuator? as a 'sticky' actuator could cause weird boost control?

no not mapped and its still the ecu controlling boost. how i know its a sticky actuator?

you need to test the actuator then mate.


first off, pull the pipe off the actuator and fit a longer piece to the actuator long enough to get your mouth to it

blow down the pipe.....if you can blow down it then its knackered.

if that is ok then next you need to attach a pump (with gauge) to that pipe and once the pressure rises to about 0.6-0.7bar the actuator should move out smoothly and fully.


check that out then we can go from there.

1 more stupid question lol i have an idea where the actuator is but not 100% sure?

in the above pic is the actuator rod (the pipe that connects to it is just out of shot in the bottom right of the picture)




it will also be a good idea to check the 'pre-tension' of the actuator which is shown in the pic above

ie with the rod disconnected off the wastegate you should see half a hole(as pic).....so that you have to pull hard against the spring in order to fit it on that last bit.
