I used Araldite on my 8.
When I sold it the new owner said he was going to take it off.

I said "Good luck with that" :)

Yeh mate that's on my list of things to do this year as well as carbon rear spoiler either changing it or respray looks awwfull at the mo

Tiger seal is best. Araldite will crack over time and you take the risk of it never actually Curing Properly.

Then you were lucky. You need to allow it to flex, its why body kits are put on with sikaflex/tiger seal rather than two part epoxy.

Why does it have to flex? It's on the roof.

I just wanted to make sure it didn't fly off on the motorway.

Because if you warm it up, the carbon fibre will expand faster than your roof, you get a primative shearing action.

Mine wasn't real carbon fibre but I presume it's the same with plastic.

I used all the sticky pads and the little arial clip that came with it too. No doubt that helped.

I'm not entirely sure what mines stuck down with but it won't move a fraction! So obviously something good!
