Standard 8 Valves

Currently making up a shopping list of various parts, brands, comparing prices etc etc for my engine in the near future. Just wondering how much the standard valve's can take along with aftermarket springs, retainers etc?

They are good for 500 BHP but its not really the valves its what lb the springs are rated for. You would be better getting uprated steel valves, your valve springs you are better with E9 bee hive springs and retainers if your running up to a 264 cam. Depends what you want from your head and if still running stock turbo. What do you want to rev to? This depends on what cams you are for running also.
