Ok so heres the situation finally got the car running again after issues with the starter and the power steering pipe. Going in for MOT on Saturday but the SRS light is still on and have tried different ways to turn it off. I bought the car with an after market wheel attached and airbag light has been on since i bought it but first MOT for me and it is going to cause an issue. Does anyone know of any ways i can get this to go out short of taking the bulb out which it would fail on anyway??

Cover the light on dash with tape. Cant see it cant fail it and not allowed to remove the tape. Just did this yesterday on a car

Ok update no mot as was late need to book in again but now my abs light is on it goes off on startup then when begin to move lights up.....

Ok so this is the first real chance I have had to have a look at it with it being of the road with the starter issues.......have now found no ayc light so suspected the dreaded bulb removal however swapped for a working bulb and still not on would this mean I do not have ayc??

Well could try a felt tip pen if there isn't any tape available. It's only to get it through the mot haha, i did it when I worked for Renault, as I couldn't get it plugged in til after mot and car was sold

It should come on when you turn ignition on then go out.

Nope nothing at all......

Either you have another fault somewhere behind the dash for the bulb. Possibly fuse been pulled.
Or not sure but you may have an RS. Check driver side behind rear wheel for the AYC.
