spray wax?? cleaning your car at shows

Hey everyone.

Can anyone tell me what do I use to clean my car at a car show?

I need to give my car a quick wipe down when I get to japfest and it's a good 2 hours drive. If it's a dry day then it will be covered in dust by the time I get there, so I need to clean the dust off.

I have seen people spray on some stuff and wipe off to give a very deep shine at car shows.
Are these safe to use? will I get scratches as I am wiping dust off the paint?

Any advice would be great :)

Thanks

spray it onto a microfiber cloth and apply it and buff it off with a buffing cloth.

Poorboys qd+ I found the easiest to use, whether it is the best I can't answer as I haven't tried every detailing spray on the market. But it works best for me so far.

Thanks for the answers guys.

Geof. (exucse the detailing newb) I heard people saying I should use microfiber cloth to take the wax off the car after buffing. So I went out and bought some. I never heard of a buffing cloth before. Will I not be able to de-buff with a micro fiber cloth aswell?

while I am here. Can anyone tell me how do I clean the Wax off the Microfiber cloth after I de-buffed the car?? I tried searching this on goodle but I got hit with a malware virus after the first website I went into...... it was one of the top searches as well

I was trying to do abit of research about this and I read someone said it takes alot of time to clean up. almost as long as waxing it.

and others said Poorboys Spray And Gloss is better. Any idea Geof?

Also. Is this actaully ok to use on a dusty car? I just can't get over the fact it may scratch the car. I will use this product the day before I leave for japfest to give it an extra layer of protection

If it's mega dusty then by yourself a california duster to remove dust first using light long sweeping strokes.
Can't answer that poorboys spray and gloss is better but I swear by QD+
Buffing as geof refers to is using a microfibre cloth ideally folded into 4 you just remove excess product with as little effort as possible (not like buffing shoes where you go 90 to the dozen). You turn the cloth after roughly each panel to use a fresh bit of microfibre and help reduce the risk of adding scratching.
