hi just a couple of pics of my red evo 7 on going work to do still with her

Very nice mate. I've got a red VIII with black rims and i've just refurbed the Brembos. Made some difference to it. They look like they are just out the packet!!!

Yeah did them myself.To be honest they are better than I thought they would turn out!

how did you do it? Just got some for my 4 and there a darker red! Like the rocker cover on the 7 8 and 9. Your's look bang on!

Few plans to modify it over the coming months. These include change wheels or have mine done in black, lower it, USDM rear lights, tints all round and black out / detango the front lights.

The more black evos I see the more I want one looks good and will look even better once you have done your mods

Can you do us a favour and update your profile with your location. Just helps us out when planning events and for members to help you out with traders locations etc

Time consuming but peeled off the scabby lacquer,scrapped the "Brembo" off and then rubbed down caliper with wire wool. Cleaned with brake cleaner then used Simoniz sperex red VHT paint and VHT lacquer (4 coats of each for good measure). Got both off Ebay. I sprayed them on the car. Just removed brake pads and masked everything off. Oh and got the new Brembo stickers off Ebay aswell. They were put on inbetween the red and the lacquer.

Did 4's not come with Brembos?

no the 4's and some early 5's didn't come with them so a good upgrade for me. So did you take all the paint off? Back to the metal Or just most of it? Then go over the top of it? Mine are off the car so will be easyer to work with. Thanks

But I would like a set of wrc enlkei tarmacs in white for my car so I could chop and change when I wanted

Once I got the lacquer off I just gave them a scuff up with the wire wool to get them smooth. Didn't go back to the bare metal.

It will probably be easier with you having them off the car. At least you wont have to mask anything up!
