hi all ,
after having a conversation with our young apprentice it got me thinking " which i dont do often " :O)

what is more important to the young or older evo owner , men and the ladies ???

see i would rather have a quicker tatty car than a mint standard one . i like the sleeper look so a evo is a bit of a change for me .

but young dan seams to think its all about the looks and how much stereo you can stuff in the boot . but he does drive a corsa1.2 lol


so what does it for you' are you a magpie " got to have it all shinny"

or are you a true adrenaline junky ever on the quest for more power ...

Evo's are not really or can never be a sleeper car, which is slightly defeatist of me, but hey

I don't do shiny, there's just no need, especially in an engine bay. I try (where best) to chose function (ie light weight, longevity) as well improving performance

I'm in my mid 20's and really don't care for stereo's anymore, i just like going for a blast on a sunday

I used to go for stereo power over engine power but since my insurance has dropped to an affordable amount speed is definatly more important. Although i do have a sub in the boot of my evo. I think when you first pass your test insurance is so rediculous you are forced to drive things with very little power so just have to try and make the best of it.

the sleeper look is a reference to the car the evo 4 has replaced .
400+ bhp cav turbo that i spent 6 years owning and building , that looked standard and was great for upsetting more expensive cars '
the evo was the only logical replacement for it tuneability and build quality .but it does shout race me and people expect it to be quick..

Don't get me wrong, I see pics of very clean, smart looking cars and I appreciate them, but give me the choice between a "mint" car and rarely using it, to a "not so mint" car and thrashing the 5h1t out of it............

i dont really care for a shiney car, just clean.

but for me the best thing is putting expensive cars to shame. i also enjoy the look on peoples faces when i get out the car as i am 23 but only look 18

got to be a go'er i'd rather watch the persons face in the show car as i fly past em, i have twin 10'' subs that you can't flipping hear hardly over the car anyway so no point in adding more weight to it and making it slower i'd rather go to a club and listen to defening music and get pissed

Wait, i understand about the mk II golf (a the mk 4 is the best) but the S2000 is a awsome car!! Best car of 2009 aswell!!

My opinion in respect to the thread, i like showing aswell as growing... :wink:

Now i have had cars with big base boxes etc etc, but now im 25, got my first evo and the 1st thing we done was chuck the stereo out..
My Evo in on a strict diet!! All for weight loss and power!!
Does me joys now and the faces showers make are priceless!!
