Short shift

Hi people I was thinking about getting a short shift for my E7 don't suppose anybody already has one on their car, I've seen these sold on eBay but not too sure whether or not to buy on there or not, what would be the difference?

I suppose there's always a chance it doesn't fit or bends because of cheaper grade metal.

I bought a used B&M shifter that looks the same and it fit and works perfect.

I had a b&m short shift in my mak. Was good !

Mate of mine bought the eBay kit and sure enough it was a pile of shite

I have the exact same ebay shifter on mine and its great! Nice and cheap and has lasted the Nurburgring and numerous track days.

It has settings too for even shorter shifts. I set mine on the shortest throw which meant i had to modify my shifter cradle. I think i showed some of it on my build thread.

I also removed the V shaped thing on the shifter, its a weight to balance the shifter. Fitted a weighted gear knob to weight it up instead.

For the price get one bought you wont go wrong :twisted:

will these fit a E8? im after a short shift for mine but cant find any 6 speed only 5 speed
