Selling prices for evo's

Thinking of selling the V for a newer evo since baby number 2 is due in 4 weeks time. Whats realistic values for them nowadays? Its not absolutely minted but not shabby, never been a polisher lol. 96k on clock, remapped to 385bhp, 17" rotas, coilovers, blitz nur spec r.

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are as i know what realistic price id let it go for as needs a wee bit tlc.

Bit of a lottery to be honest mate. It's a buyers rather than a sellers market for high performance cars at present. Seen people breaking 6's and 7's as get more that way than trying to sell them. Great shame

A rough guess would suggest somewhere between 5-6K

Yeah my man said that but i think thats a bit greedy for a V, mind u there are some dreamers out there. Love the V and our oldest daughter loves it but think its a bit too loud and bumpy for a new addition now lol I had an evo 8 when my daughter was born and that was ideal.

Some dreamer offered me £4k thats still evo 4 money but i think 5k is reasonable these days but as i said wouldnt want to be greedy. Maybe im just looking at the way the bad market is.

It makes no difference how much they cost new, what matters is how much people are willing to pay in this crap economic climate. Not trying to annoy anyone or change the op's perception of value of his car, just being realistic.

Quick search on ebay shows only 1 over 7k and thats "ralliart works spec" although is advertised as like a scooby?

Pistonheads prices go from £4800 to £9500.

I reckon around the £5k mark too. Has it had it's belts done at 90k? If it has then the milage wouldn't bother me much.

Yeah timing belt etc was done, car hardly been used the past year, just had an excedy twin plate fitted as well.

Easily worth £5k then.
I'd be asking for at least £5.5k -£6k.

if its a good one people will pay good money for it, if its a rough one you'll never get good money so i think 6-7k aint out the way, yes the market is on its ass but if you look at most of the cheap evo's for sale they are ruff

Not tryin to piss on anyones parade here but i think you would have to wait a very long time to sell at 5k+ for an E5, there 14yrs old!! only a small market for them, i would think for a realistic price in this economic climate with fuel prices as they are 4k, thats for average condition which int falling apart with rust!!!!!

A good one Is worth 5k and don't worry mate if she is good she will sell, from my experience I've always seen that something good will always sell no matter what it may be

In contrast to my previous posts i would say 4k is too cheap. I agree youd be looking about 5.5k as it sounds like a well maintained motor.
