this is a strange one, my car has a tubular manifold and a external wastegate on with a screamer pipe, everything sounded great until i re fitted the sas pipes and now the screamer pipe is not working or very quiet

so anyone got any ideas why itting the sas pipes back ive lost the noise from the screamer pipe

yes boosts and drives exactly the same, boost is strong and constant on the gauge, sometimes you can hear it but faintly and sometimes not at all, where before i fitted the sas pipes back on is was loud when it opened, only reason i fotted the sas pipes back is becuase i was told i need them for when i have the pops and bangs activated on the ecu

You don't need the SAS pipes for pops/bangs but they do help/aid with the effect :)

strange ??

as i would have thought that as the waste gate control's the boost and it still making boost then there must be noise ?

have you tryed taking it back off ??

iam sure that some one will be on soon that knows more about screemers than me :O(

havnt took the pipes back off yet nightmare getting them on becuase of the tubular manifold but ill take them back out tomorrow and see what it does, but im certain its nothing to do with the sas but id be surprised it is becuase my excess pressure should be comming out the screamer pipe not going into the sas

The sas injects air into the exhaust. It doesn't recirc the exhaust gases like on the 7 with the egr valve
