Hi guys, been looking into my boost for the evo, i want to check the values im getting are safe and im not going to damage engine.

i have an evo viii fq 300 , full decat 3" longlife system, uprated turbo elbow, walbro fuel pump
remap ( but no proof of this, told by previous owner),k &n induction , AEM electric boost controller and gauge.

What would be a safe psi for this?
currently running 23psi @ 83% output duty

I also have a spr setting - spring pressure rating for acctuator
currently set at 11.5 psi

car runs great and pulls like a train but sometimes if ive floored it then need to come to a stop quick, the revs will drop down below 1000 and stall engine, only happens now and again ( almost as if it hasnt got enough time to settle ) , if i full throttle to redline then slow down steady it doesnt do it, so not sure what that could be.

Also very pleased with the evo, caar is rapid but think it has a bit of turbo lag, when full throttle and change gear takes a few seconds to kick back in again. i think its turbo lag anyhow, may just be turbo kicks in at higher rpm, will know more when i can get a bit of speed up on motorway

Help on this will be fantastic guys.

Cheers :)

23 psi is fine
Turbo lag is normal, it's a turbo lol
Stalling issue may be vac leak due to damaged vac hose or leaky BOV.
You running a vta or recirc bov. Evo prefers a recirc.
