What's peoples experiences like using this turbo on a forged 2.0L?

What sort of power have you made with the normal bolt on mods?

I have the normal bolt ons, full exhaust, forge recirc, HKS induction kit, gizmo IBC, walbro hardwired, Apexi FC as well as HKS head gasket, ARP bottom end and head studs, wiesco pistons and eagle rods.

In the near future I'll have JMF/race tech manifold and 1000cc I.D injectors coupled with the S205b in a 6? Will have a map to suit.

Any suggestions on what I could improve on to make it drive better?

I run the s214b which is the stroker version and I'm pretty happy with it and its performance getting around the 550 mark. Spools well also.

The S205's I've done have always tended to be a bit on the laggy side and also the transient response isn't that great.

When they are on boost though they are very strong and pull hard but they do remind me of an old cossie where the turbo is more like a switch where you have nothing, nothing, nothing then all hell breaks loose.

Can't remember if I've done a B or not without going back through my files. I *think* I did one a few weeks ago that was a B and it was better but still not what I'd call responsive.

The thing for me with the 205 is that IMO, it's slightly too big for a 2litre yet slightly too small for a 2.3 so it sort of sits in the middle looking a bit lost.

I was looking around for turbos and from what others have said it is a good turbo with good reliability. My other option was a GT3076r but as the whole kit from Ross sport?

Your best best is giving Ross a call. He's done back to back tests on all sorts so should be able to point you in the right direction.
