Whats involved in 'mapping an Evo IV' ive understood you can map them? If theres anything that can be done, can someone tell me please?

If its just a 'set up' is that the same price, My RS isn't mappable and just a simple set up.

Should mention its still limited so may want that sorted depending on price.

Thanks

Evo 4's require the ecu being changed for a later one (evo 5/6 or 7/8 260 ecu).

It's easier to fit the 5/6 ecu as it's just plug and play and then map, the 7/ 8 260 need wires swapping over and that takes 30 - 60 mins depending how easy the wires come out of the plugs (sometimes there a right bitch to remove).

As for "setup" there isn't much that can be done, because if you up the boost, you run the risk of hitting boost cut (especially in cold weather were it tends to spike a little) and there is no way of adjusting the fueling or timing to stop and knock/det that may occur.

The speed limiter can be removed easy enough though (bit fiddly but you could do that yourself in 30 mins flat).

Thanks El, may have to invest in an Evo V-VI ECU. May get someone to look at this speed limiter on the day. I dont know what im doing.

So put me down for a power-run and 15-30 min labour on speed limiter removal.

Yes Mark, they are the ones!

I suggest that you buy from seller KBTV, not just because he has good feedback but because I have had customers come round with his items and they are good.

Ah right i already got one fitted, but cant go any faster than 115ish for some reason??

Cossie1 has mentioned about a simple cut of a wire from the ECU for a speed limiter.

That's right buddy, but I never tamper with ECU wires as I have managed to blow a couple in the past and you know what they say about once bitten and all that!!!
