Hi all - I hope you're all well?

I've owned my Evo 4 GSR for around 2 weeks now, and have noticed a funny problem!

Sometimes when I rev it high or when I depress the clutch when coming to a stop, the revs drop really low and sound the car is going to stall! It has actually stalled on 2 or 3 occasions and then starts again straight away.

Does anyone know what this could be?

Thanks in advance for your help; I look forward to your replies!

i had the same problem after i put a bov on,it was one of the turbo smart ones so i could tighten and loosen it,after an hour or two of trial and error i got it set right, just needed tightening a bit more. hope that helps

;)Has car got performance filter on,if so check your MAF sensor ,on air inlet pipe, for dirt or oil on sensor, quick squirt with carb cleaner should sort it, if not see if you can borrow a maf to try out as i expect they are quite expensive considering there's nothing to it,hope this helps:)

Hi, my Evo 5 does this every now and again.... Not like its when I do something special either, just pull up at the lights or something and put my foot on the clutch.

Im running a Bailey vent to air BOV. Not sure if this is causing it, as i was running the same setup on a different Evo with no probs at all?

Let me know if you figure it out.

revs dropping

could be the throttle body is needing a clean with carb cleaner or the tps is faulty (throttle position sensor) its on the bulkhead side of the throttle body

regards
