The standard airbox bolts straight onto the MAF so as long as you've got one of them you should be ok.
Your battery is still in front of the air filter? If they've been swapped (not up on the Blitz fitment) then you may need more.

No benefits in doing that ....

yes the maf is bolted to the blitz so i can see where a standard box would go but im assuming theres some sort of cold air feed pipe that should run from the other end down into the wheel arch area somewhere? thanks:)

the blitz has the heat shield over it so only gets cold air from the end of it altho the end is so close to the fuse box i cant see how its getting enough air:confused:from the tiny gap it has been adjusted back as far as it will go also.was thinking of taking the heatshield off and having it like a hks filter etc..would prob get better air flow that way!:awesome:

No cold air feed for the std air box. Its just a box lol

You can run a cold air feed yourself through the wheel arch and to the front bumper.
B+Q/screwfix tumble dryer hose and 2 ends with long cable ties or jubille clip to hold ends on hose. Best and cheapest cold feed :)

Has the car got a 5/6 ecu and map? You may need to remap with changes to the air feed...

i thought it had a standard cold air feed with the box?:confused:as in it has the hole at one end for the maf and there is a hole the other side which must be for some sort of cold air feed pipe that runs down into the arch?
my car has the 5 engine, ecu, injectors and turbo.

You can run a pipe from the front grill, up into the wheel arch and into the hole where the airbox is in the bay.
Pipe costs about £7 from halfrauds and takes minutes to fit. I've done it to both my V's :)

Has it been remapped?

Do the mod as i posted above but you may find you get fuel cut if not been mapped?

when i first had the car it used to get fuel cut as the boost was way to high(i had a gauge fitted to see what it was boosting at)i then had the actuator turned down to 1 bar, just looks like the blitz filter is so close to the fuse box it cant surely be getting decent airflow?:confused:dont know if its been remapped tbh but the boost was very high before it was turned back down!,its now running 1 bar.
