Replacement manifold and Elbow

Hi all,
My car is currently back at the garage I bought it from after noticing the replacment tubular (steel) manifold currently on it is cracked.

They have agreed to replace/repair under the 3 month warranty they gave me which is great. However, my expectation is they will either try and weld it, replace it with standard manufacture or another less than decent steel one!

With the car running a decat, map, induction, Apexi AVC-r and l255 pump it needs to be a decent one capable of handling current power and a revised map.

I'm not looking for a cheap one but also not really wanting to spend a grand or so on an HKS one!

I am budgeting around 400/500 quid give or take

I have had a surf around the net and found japspeed selling a stainless steel replacement performance manifold and elbow (albeit out-of-stock) but not much luck finding elsewhere.

Anyone recommend good direct replacement one to look out for and ideally a site/link selling them.

Give indigo gt a shout. Ant maybe able to sort you something out For £650 ish you could get a FullRace manifold. I think the Japspeed ones crack as well:hm:

The trouble with these is there are so many chocolate manifolds out there you need to spend good money to get one that doesn't crack.
If it's cracked once then it will crack again, the trouble is some of them are made from very thin tube so no matter how good the weld it will always crack.

As nick said get onto Antony for a full race mani and you'll never look back !!

I'll give indigo a shout and also speak with the guys at tunamotorsport who are currently looking after mine (or will be once all the nasty problems on it fixed from the dealer!!)

Tuna have mentioned HKS which I know will be good but very expensive I fear so looking for a solid alternative. However, I guess it comes down to you get what you pay for

You are looking at 1k for a hks jobbie but the fullrace is a much better manifold which runs equal length header tubes

Almost all manifolds crack, bar the stock one, well even they do, but it's quite rare. Even the silly expensive MINES' ones crack!

With your mods a stock manifold is more than capable, they are good for around 400 BHP, and if you get one that is ported it's even better. However get the car checked for fueling & det after changing the manifold, even if you get another stainless one. Just to be sure everything is safe.

Any place with a rolling road should be able to do that for you or there might be a local mapper on here who can help out.

lifetime warrnaty- sounds like a good deal to me.

Will get the map checked as well. I've seen the old RR graphs and they are shocking!!

I'll speak with indigo and see what they say and add it to my shopping list
