Hiya

Do anybody know where i can find a good technician and workshop around North West ( Preston, Blackpool area)?
i have a big problem on my engine. strange noise

When the car 1st starts up or(when the engine is cold),NO noise is generated.

After driving awhile, Noise is only generated when the car start moving slowly esp in slope, but no problem in high speed driving.
basically, when lifting up the clutch padel half way while the gas padel in half way, or i would say when the car just just start to move slowly, its generated. the noise likes a metal metal friction noise around pulley area. dry pulley noise.

Hmmm strange. So its not a tapping or anything like that? Have you checked the belt for wear? Just in case something is making contact with it.

I dont know .i dun think so. i think it is just standerd clutch

Do you have a twin plate clutch fitted ?

Was going to ask the same, they make a bloody horrible noise sometimes

My mechanic did. 3 belt has been changed by himhe said the nosie is must related to temp. it only happenes when the engine is hot

I know the aux belt tensioner can make some weird noises when they are worn. Get it removed and checked

i keep asking around now. i found one 40 pounds. i m going to ask the guys tomorrow

The one on my mates Evo V makes a weird noise just as your pulling away. Like a tappy rattly squeaky noise
