Recall/Warranty work

Thought I'd post this up incase some of you didn't know about the recall work... For the 4/5/6's

After lots of threads on recall work being required and done, etc, etc
I had not seen any actuall results of why!!

Had mine done a while ago and this was the reason...so now you know why it should be done

The red arrow shows the join mark in the manufacturing process that can split and cause this recall work..

It took about 6weeks to get confirmation from japan but then got it all confirmed and booked in. Possibly get it confirmed earlier if you speak direct too a Mitsi garage.

Mate of mine had his done on his V. All he did was ring our local Mitsi garage and then got back to him a day later to book him in

Yes even if it's 12 year old ... :razz: Its warranty/recall work so age doesn't matter. Just get in contact with mitsi and give them your chassis number and ask if theres any outstanding recall work needed

Recall work is recall work mate. The cars were recalled to have the arms changed but not very many were done. It's a fault recognised by Mitsi and as it's a potential dangerous one they will do this free of charge if it hasn't already been done.
You just need to contact them and they will check all records here and japan and get back to you.

Recall notification has been out for ages but owners don't get notified as they are imports...

Recall on 8 fq300 as well (possibly others around same year) for intercooler pipe issues and faulty lambda sensor

nah will take it in after the fast show. try and get them to throw an upgraded elbow on at the same time!
